Journey 4 Sight

On the 12 July 2009 8 Lions Clubs & Ipoh Super Biker Team organized a ' LIONS JOURNEY 4 SIGHT '.Leo Club of Sam Tet, Leo Club of A.M.C. & Leo Club of SMI were invited to join the event. The main aim of this event is to raise funds for the ' Rumah Orang Buta Ipoh '. Lions & Leos arrived by 7.30 am at Dataran MBI, Greentown.Leos were helping out to pack those goodies bag for the one who take part.Soon, our BOD started with some stretching before we start our walk, conducted by Lion Kanasen.We're glad with the fully support from M.B.I., Ipoh & Malaysia Royal Police. Then, we're all given a eye mask to take a 4km walk around the Ipoh city.The one who covered their eyes will assist by the uncover one.We get a great experiences from this journey despite it was only a short distance.

There's a few tips for your eye exercises:
  • Move your eyeball up by looking at ceiling and bring it down and look at floor. Do this ten times. Blink fast to give rest to eyes.
  • Make circles with eyes in clockwise and anti-clockwise manner. Do it for 5 times.
  • Cup the eyes with palm for a minute and then slowly open and stare in darkness.
Of course, there's also something do not you should avoid :
  • Never put salt in your eyes.
  • Never look into the sun directly or with a telescope.
  • Never put sharp objects in your eyes.
  • Never rub your eyes too much.






Later, we went to Syuen Hotel and joined a health talk. There were 2 lecturer specialist in kidneys & heart. Both of them came from Singapore's Top Hospital, Mount Elizabeth Hospital. The talk is sponsored by their company, Parkway Health. The talk was almost 3 hours, and ended at 2.00 pm.Through this talk, Leos were given chance to more understand their health situation, latest medical & prevention.
